MUNSTER, Ind. (April 13, 2024) – Humane Indiana is hosting their annual baby shower on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the shelter located at 421 45th Street in Munster.
Humane Indiana celebrates this very special time each year with a “Baby Shower” for the incoming puppies and kittens, much like we celebrate the arrival of a human baby, but with a puppy-and-kitten-themed twist.
“Every spring, Humane Indiana’s shelter prepares for Baby Season,” says Jessica Petalas, Senior Director of Shelter & Clinic Operations. “Starting in March, the population of puppies and kittens skyrockets, along with the need for puppy and kitten formula, bottles, cotton balls, blankets, and other baby supplies.”
Attendees and supporters are encouraged to donate supplies to help nurture the puppies and kittens that flood the shelter every spring. To purchase items on Humane Indiana’s Baby Shower Registry, visit: https://tinyurl.com/HIBabyShower.
Tickets for “Brunchin’ with the Babies” are $15 per adult and $5 for each child 12 years and younger, and will feature a brunch-themed menu including coffee and a mock-tail mimosa bar. Guests will enjoy activities such as puppy and kitten cuddle sessions, drawings for basket prizes, and a Garden Rock painting activity.
