The Lansing Journal journeys: Eclipsing in San Diego

-

Submitted by Cathy White

Lansing residents Ron and Cathy White drove to San Diego, California, to spend Easter with family, and they decided to stay for the solar eclipse. They took The Lansing Journal with them for the historic experience.

The Lansing Journal was around for the previous solar eclipse in 2017, but it happened in August, and our first print issue was not published until that September. So we are grateful to the White family for bringing a print Lansing Journal to the 2024 eclipse.

“Though we could see the eclipse perfectly through our glasses, this is the best peak photo we could get through our filter,” wrote Cathy White. She and her husband Ron drove from Lansing to San Diego to spend Easter with family and decided to stay for the eclipse. (Photo: Ron White)
