Robert G. Stokey III, age 79, of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lois Stokey, nee Behan. Loving father of Robert (Erin) Stokey, Gregory (Karen) Stokey, Kimberlee (Brian) Knight, Thomas (Jody) Novak, Ashley Reinike, and the late Deanna Baziw. Devoted grandfather of Andrew, Joseph (Samantha), Stephen (Jasmine), Kaitlyn, Amanda (Kyle), Jeremey, Maggie, Brendon, Josie, Robert, Conner, and Gabriel; great-grandfather of Holden, Harrison, and Mason. Dear brother of Lloyd (Connie) Stokey and Bettie Jayne Spencer. Preceded in death by his parents Robert Jr. and Bettie Jayne Stokey. Robert was a United States Army Veteran. He was loved many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN, with a funeral service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to ASPCA – American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org).
