The Lansing Journal journeys: Chef Klaus’ Bier Stube (Frankfort)

-

submitted by Rob DeVries, accompanied by Sandy DeVries, Mark Krygsheld, and Missy Krygsheld

Longtime friends the DeVrieses and the Krygshelds gathered at Chef Klaus’ Bier Stube in Frankfort, Illinois, for a meal and conversation. They had been planning to mark the occasion with a Lansing Journal Journeys photo, and had been equipped with four copies of the summer print issue, but those printed copies were forgotten at someone’s home. Undaunted, however, the quick-thinking Missy Krygsheld pulled up The Lansing Journal on her phone, perhaps taking inspiration from Rob DeVries’ October Journal Journeys photo.

About The Lansing Journal Journeys

Lansing Journal Journeys

The Lansing Journal Journeys is an award-winning feature that showcases people displaying The Lansing Journal in creative locations.

We initiated the series because we are a community newspaper, and we like to see community faces in our pages and community names in our photo credits.

To participate, your location doesn’t have to be exotic or far; it just has to have The Lansing Journal in it somewhere. Email photos to [email protected] and tell us:

  1. The names of any people (or animals) in the photo
  2. Some information about the location
  3. The name of the person who took the photo

We’ll publish them online as soon as possible. Make sure you are subscribed, so you see your photos when we post them!
