Evelyn D. Majkowski, nee Pacyga, age 86, of East Hazel Crest, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Edward Majkowski. Loving mother of Susan (Carlo) Lorenzetti and Timothy (Sara) Majkowski. Cherished grandmother of Anthony Acquaviva, Nicholas (Kim) Acquaviva, Stephanie Lorenzetti, Thomas Lorenzetti, Bill (Ashley) Kennedy, and Erik Kennedy; great-grandmother of Mason, Paul, and Carter. Preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor (late Frank) Kamykowski and Norman (late Grace) Pacyga, and her parents Walter and Lotti Pacyga. Evelyn was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Visitation Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 3 – 7 p.m. with a vigil service to be held at 6 p.m. Prayer service Friday, June 4, 2021 at 9 a.m. from Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd Street, South Holland, IL, to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 15746 Union Avenue, Harvey, IL, for a 10a.m. funeral Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL. Evelyn was a longtime parishioner and longtime member of the altar guild.
