LANSING, Ill. (September 1, 2018) – One Trick Pony, a brewery and bar located at 17845–17851 Chappel Avenue in Lansing, is planning to open a full-service restaurant on the intersection of Ridge Road and Ada Street, in the space formerly occupied by the De Young Furniture Store. The owner of the brewery, Mark Kocol, would like to start work on the project in a few months.
Currently, the corner property in the heart of Lansing’s downtown area is owned by the Village and is sitting empty. Only a short walk from the nearly-completed Fox Pointe venue, a restaurant in that location could potentially draw large crowds before or after events.
The Village Board voted on August 28 to approve Kocol’s Class 8 tax incentive application.
