Lansing water bill delays extend due date to May 31 for some residents

Account numbers starting with “3” will receive extension to May 31

LANSING, Ill. (May 8, 2024) – The Village of Lansing announced Wednesday that water bill delivery has been delayed, and some residents will have an extra 16 days to submit their payments.

According to an alert sent on the Village’s CivicReady platform Wednesday, “section 3” residents of Lansing have experienced a delay in their bills, and will have their due dates moved back from May 15 to May 31.

“Section 3” refers not to a geographical section of Lansing, but to a particular segment of the billing rotation whose bills are due this month. Currently, Lansing’s water bills — which also include sewer and garbage services — are due every three months. Those with an account number starting with “3” are in section 3, and will be granted the extension.

“Residents may continue their usual schedule of paying online, by phone, or dropping off their payments either before or after receiving their bills in the mail,” said the alert.

For more information, residents can contact the Village finance team at [email protected] or 708-895-7200.
