MUNSTER, Ind. (April 25, 2024) – Theatre at the Center will host a Lansing favorite on Saturday, May 11. (Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said Friday) Elton Jeff and the Honky Cats — an Elton John tribute band — will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased online:

Elton Jeff and the Honky Cats, led by local singer Jeff Gajewski, hail from Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland. They have performed sold-out concerts at the Memorial Opera House in Valparaiso, Indiana, and the outdoor stage space in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Gajewski has also been a crowd favorite at Lansing’s Fox Pointe and as live music at Pour On Roy.

Elton Jeff and the Honky Cats’ performances include classics by award-winning British singer, pianist, and composer Elton John. “Tiny Dancer,” “Crocodile Rock,” “Rocket Man,” and other hits are regularly in the roster.

Gajewski’s showmanship in playing the grand piano is a direct homage to Elton John’s renowned piano skills. Elton Jeff also makes a point of using his stage wardrobe to salute Elton John’s eccentric attire, donning several different costumes throughout the show.

Background videos based on Elton John’s era will accompany the on-stage performances. “Not a lot of bands bring the facts to their performances, and we want to be different from that,” said Gajewski.

Tickets for the show are $40. Tickets can be purchased via the Theatre at the Center website or by calling the box office:

Theatre at the Center is located within the Munster Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana.
