Male Athlete Spotlight for April 1-6
Phoenix McGruder, Marian Catholic boys volleyball
The senior had 44 kills as the Spartans went 5-0 for the week, including finishing first in their own invitational.
Female Athlete Spotlight for April 1-6
Janiya Lucas, TF South girls outdoor track
The senior had four top-three finishes at the Stagg Co-Ed Invitational, including a first in the 200 meters (26.09). She also was runner-up in the 100 (12.68) and ran on the second-place 800 relay team and third-place 400 relay team.
