“Onward to Chicago” program

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Lansing Public Library stage, 2750 Indiana Avenue, Lansing

The program will feature slides and commentary by Dr. Larry McClellan, the author of the book “Onward to Chicago, Freedom Seekers and the Underground Railroad in Northeastern Illinois,” and Tom Shepherd. Learn more here.

Educational Session – Local Government 101

This free event is open to all Lansing business owners. “Here’s a great opportunity to learn more about the Village where your business is located. How does the Village of Lansing government work? Village administrators will share their knowledge and experience, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions.”

Teen Volunteer Orientation and Training

Pop-up pantry

Mt. Zion UFL Center partners with Illinois Partners In Hope to distribute a variety of donated food once or twice a week. These pop-up pantries are open to anyone, and no ID is required.

Free ‘n Fun Bingo at Kasey’s

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Kasey’s Banquet Hall and Lounge, 17800 Lorenz Avenue, Lansing

Bingo happens every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
