The Franklins took a driving tour of Lake Michigan as part of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. Driving 1,156 miles around the lake, and skipping some familiar destinations in the Chicago area, the pair brought The Lansing Journal along for their journey!
“We kind of followed the route as much as we could and when we thought we were off course we laughed because all of a sudden we would see one of those signs,” Gina Franklin said.
The Franklins completed the trip in five days with the help of a book the Lansing Library obtained through an inter-library loan.

What a nice tour! Good thinking on using the Library for the tour book! We might have to go check out the colors now 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
I need to do this. Been many places in Michigan and Wisconsin but this would be fun to see many more towns in not that long of a trip. Thanks for sharing.
