LARC to host Annual Appreciation Dinner on October 6

Information provided by LARC

LANSING, Ill. (September 18, 2023) – LARC, a not-for-profit organization providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its Annual Appreciation Dinner on Friday, October 6, to celebrate its accomplishments, and recognize the service and participation milestones of its staff and clients.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. at the Serbian Social Center, located at 18550 Stoney Island Avenue in Lansing.

In addition to the award presentations, the event features appetizers, dinner, complimentary cocktails, raffles, a silent auction, music, and dancing. The event is one of LARC’s largest fundraising events, raising revenues through ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, and proceeds from the auction and raffles.

Reservations are $65 each. Sponsorships vary in price from $125 to $1,000 with varying inclusions. LARC’s Half-Carat Diamond Raffle tickets are $20 each or $50 for three, and the winner need not be present. Those unable to attend may consider donating an item, gift certificate, or gift basket to the auction and raffles, or becoming a sponsor for the event.

Proceeds from this year’s event will help LARC create a new sensory space at their Lansing campus. Clients will have an opportunity to stimulate all their senses in a fun and engaging manner in the space, which will include a variety of exercises and activities in a multi-sensory environment, giving individuals a place to reset themselves. This can provide a calming effect, improve mental health, and ultimately lead to a healthier environment for everyone.

Reservations and sponsorships must be received by Monday, September 25. In-kind donations for the auction and raffle must also be received by Monday, September 25. For more information about the event, please contact LARC’s Development Office at 708-474-1540. To register online, please visit larclansing.com.
