Larry W. Vander Wall, age 77, of Dyer, IN, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 31, 2023. Beloved husband of Donna Vander Wall, nee Fennema. Loving father of Darlene Propst, Laurene (Larry) Stephens, and Peter (Rachel) Vander Wall. Cherished grandfather of Clayton, Curtis, Cole, Eli, Evan, Peter, Katherine, Madeline, Teshome, Isabella, Charlotte, Silas, and Anneliese. Dear brother of Karen (late Ronald) Dutton and Raymond (late Jennie) Vander Wall. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Gertrude Vander Wall. Larry was a United States Navy Veteran. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Friday, August 4, 2023, from 3 – 8 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral service Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Avenue, Lansing, IL, with Rev. Edward Marcusse officiating. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Mid-America Reformed Seminary.
