Charlene D. Haan-Mullen, nee Ippel, age 92, of Barrington Hills, IL formerly of Lansing, IL passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Beloved wife of George Mullen and the late Lewis Haan. Loving mother of Sherry (late Dan Glass) Haan, Lewis R. (Pamela) Haan, Lynn (John) Brink, Gayle (Randy) Reinsma and Lorraine Haan. Devoted grandmother of Brandon (Sarah) Haan, Shannon Haan (Stephen Bowie), Blaine Reinsma, Lauren (Evan) Sall, and Gabriel Penza and great-grandmother of Levi Haan, Titus Haan, Landon Sall, and Bennett Sall. Dear sister of the late Jeanne (late John) Van Noort, late Les (late Frances) Ippel, and the late Roger Ippel. Also preceded in death by her parents Harry and Jessie (nee Gouwens) Ippel.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with services conducted by her grandson Rev. Brandon Haan, followed by a luncheon for all in attendance. Interment Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery – Elwood, IL.
