The Lansing Journal journeys: Finding Lansing in Wisconsin

-

submitted by Melanie Jongsma

Lansing Journal Publisher Melanie Jongsma traveled to Wisconsin for a few days and managed to find reminders of her hometown during her time away.

“I saw this road sign on my way to Sister Bay and wished I had snapped a photo,” said Melanie. “So when I passed it again on my way back, I pulled the car over and grabbed my Journal.” (Photo: Melanie Jongsma)
“My friends and I stayed at Open Hearth Lodge in Sister Bay,” said Melanie. “They are a dog-friendly hotel — in fact, they welcome dogs! The amenities include this little dog park for dogs and their owners to mingle. Not quite as expansive as Lansing’s dog park, but Scout (left) loved socializing with Alvin and Ranger (not pictured).” (Photo: Melanie Jongsma)
“Wisconsin even has a Fox Point!” said Melanie. (Photo: Melanie Jongsma)
