Good Friday: Mostly sunny

LANSING, Ill. (April 6, 2023) – Community members who participate in the Good Friday Prayer Walk will enjoy sunshine and calm skies. At noon, as participants gather in the parking lot of St. Ann Church (3010 Ridge Road), the temperature is forecast to be 49 degrees, with a “RealFeel” of 54. The Prayer Walk — a Lansing tradition — is open to people of all faiths and denominations who want to follow a wooden cross along Ridge Road, stopping at various stations to heard the words of Scripture. The walk ends at Trinity Lutheran Church (2505 Indiana Avenue), where a final Scripture is read outside, followed by a short prayer service in Trinity’s sanctuary.
