LARC open house to include tour of facility, proposed future plans – April 18

LANSING, Ill. (April 6, 2023) – LARC, a not-for-profit organization providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is hosting an open house on Tuesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at LARC’s Lansing Campus, located at 19043 Wentworth Avenue.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet and greet the board of directors and the staff leadership, as there are several new faces in organization. LARC will be offering tours of its program areas and discussing plans for some of the building transformations being proposed over the next several years. These plans include significant capital improvements that will help LARC to transition into a space that supports a more community-integrated service model.

Appetizers and light refreshments will be served. RSVPs should be sent to Jeff at 708-474-1540 by Friday, April 14.

LARC is a private, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), community-service organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring they can live a quality and engaging life by participating as contributing members of their community. Originally formed in 1956, as a school for children with developmental disabilities (The Lansing School of Special Education), LARC has grown to provide services and supports to approximately 100 individuals across the Chicagoland Area.
