Elbert “Bub” E. Baker, age 80, of Glenwood, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Beloved husband of Nancy Baker, nee Kooyenga. Loving father of Christopher (Teresa) Baker and Kathleen Randolph. Devoted grandfather of Daniel and Matthew Randolph and Camen, Marek, Zoie, and Blake Cummings. Dear brother of David, Leroy, Mike, Todd, Jimmy, Frankie, Joyce, Kay, Judy, Jan, Mary, and Debbie. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Nona. Bub was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon at Crete Church, 24755 S Country Lane, Crete, IL. A light luncheon will follow the service. Memorial donations may be given to Voice of the Martyrs. Arrangements entrusted to Smits Funeral Home – Dyer, IN.
