Glenn A. Gilbert Sr., age 93, late of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 23, 2022. Born July 3, 1929, in York, PA, where he and Mary Ann grew up together. They joyfully celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2022. Loving and devoted husband of Mary Ann Gilbert, nee Strayer. Devoted father of James, Ann, Diane (Arturo), John (Judith), and Glenn Jr. (Sheena). Proud grandfather of 15; great-grandfather of 15; great-great-grandfather of 2. Preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Emma Gilbert, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and one loving grandson, James.
Visitation Sunday, July 31, 2022, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN, with Rev. Dale Hetherington officiating.
