Information provided by LARC

LANSING, Ill. (September 12, 2021) – LARC, a not-for-profit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is once again partnering with longtime supporter Glenwood Oaks Restaurant for its annual Fall Feast on October 14 through October 16.

Traditionally, the event is hosted at LARC’s Lansing campus and includes many fun-filled activities and entertainment enjoyed by over three hundred patrons, staff, and clients. Amid concerns for the rising cases of COVID, and out of concern for everyone’s safety, this year’s event will once again be carry-out only at Glenwood Oaks Restaurant. Dinners will be available over a three-day window, Thursday through Saturday, October 14, 15, and 16, with pick-up times from 4 to 6 p.m.

Entrées range in price from $13 to $18 and feature many Glenwood Oaks Restaurant favorites for the entire family including their famous ribs and honey-fried chicken. A complete menu is provided at LARC’s website:

“We had hoped to be able to host the event this year, especially having shut down most of LARC’s in-person fundraising events over the last 18 months,” said Executive Director Ernie Gonzalez. He added, “As a result of the pandemic, our fundraising dollars have been in decline, and we cannot be more grateful for all our friends in the community who continue to support us as we pivot into more virtual fundraising events.”

All proceeds will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in programs that provide job training and employment, daily life skills enrichment, senior programming, 24-hour residential services, and special recreation.

Those interested in purchasing tickets should visit Tickets cannot be purchased at Glenwood Oaks Restaurant. Tickets are available online through Wednesday, October 13 at 4 p.m. Out-of-town patrons can also make a donation, or sponsor a meal for one of LARC’s group homes. For more information, or to purchase tickets by cash or check, please contact their Development Office at (708) 474-1540.

LARC is located at 19043 Wentworth Avenue in Lansing.
