Richard “Rick” E. Hyman, age 70, of South Holland, IL passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Beloved husband of Cathy Hyman, nee Reinholtz. Loving father of Jon (Tiffany) Hyman and Cari (Roger) Clousing. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Jacob, and Jessica Hyman and Hanna and Kaitlyn Clousing. Dear brother of Dennis (Kandi) Hyman, Steven (Marjy) Hyman, and Martyn (Kim) Hyman. Preceded in death by his parents Irving and Maxine Hyman.
Rick has co-owned and worked alongside his brothers for Hyman’s Auto Supply Company for over 50 years. He’s the creator of E-Z MIX. If you’ve visited our location on Commercial Avenue, chances are you found him at his desk, or took a meeting in his office surrounded by his collection of model cars. While Rick leaves behind a successful business, more importantly he leaves behind a successful family. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Visitation Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Private burial at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery – Chicago, IL.
