LANSING, Ill. (May 5, 2020) – Volunteers from Trinity Lutheran Church have been working hard to create a series of raised planting beds that will comprise a Community Garden. These beds are available for rent from Trinity for $25 per bed per season. The season begins this month and will end sometime this fall. As of this writing, five beds remain available and can be rented by individuals, groups, or businesses.

The $25 cost gives the gardener a 4×12′ raised bed, a hose and water for watering the bed, and a compost pile for disposing of weeds and dead plants.

Each renter is responsible for:

  • Providing her own plants or seeds
  • Bringing whatever tools may be needed for gardening
  • Watering the plants
  • Weeding the bed and composting the waste
  • Cleaning out the bed at the end of the season

Interested gardeners should contact the Trinity Lutheran Church office: 708-474-7997.

Trinity Lutheran church is located at 2505 Indiana Avenue in Lansing, Illinois.
