by Jennifer Pallay
LANSING, Ill. (January 21, 2020) – After a rich 65-year history in Lansing, the Lansing Presbyterian Church will be closing its doors. A final celebration has been planned for 10:30am on February 23 at the church, 2625 Ridge Road. Two of the church’s former ministers, two former student ministers, and a former youth minister plan to return for the celebration and co-celebrate the service. Afterward, a farewell luncheon will take place.
The church elders are inviting current and past church members to attend, asking them to RSVP by the end of January to have an accurate headcount for the lunch.
Interested attendees can RSVP by emailing [email protected] or by calling the church office at 708-474-2710 and leaving a message.
The Lansing Journal plans to share more about the church’s history and closing in February.
Dear Friends, we wish we would be able to be with you as you gather for your last Sunday but we will be out of town. God bless all of you for all the wonderful things you have done in the name of Jesus.
Love, Bud and Lynn LaBine
