Lansing Fire Department adds Zachary Bolda as newest firefighter

LANSING, Ill. (April 14, 2021) – Lansing Fire Chief Chad Kooyenga swore in Zachary Bolda as Lansing newest firefighter and paramedic during Tuesday’s Village Board meeting.

Kooyenga said he was impressed with Bolda’s hard work and was “pleased to have him” join LFD. Kooyenga swore in Bolda before the Village Board, and Bolda shook the hands of Mayor Eidam and the Village Trustees after he was sworn in.

Bolda’s father is a Lieuetenant with the Naperville Fire Department, and was present at Tuesday’s meeting with other members of Bolda’s family.

Gabriel Barajas was voted to the Police and Fire Commission during Tuesday’s meeting.

The Lansing Fire Department‘s administrative offices are located at 18200 Chicago Avenue.
