Male Athlete Spotlight for April 22-27
Andrew Danehl, TF South baseball
The senior, who is committed to Eureka College, pitched his third straight complete game in a 10-0 no-hitter against Shepard. He struck out seven.
Female Athlete Spotlight for April 8-13
Mikayla Derks, Illiana Christian softball
The senior and Hope College recruit pitched an eight-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in a 2-1 win against Carroll. She also threw a six-hitter with seven strikeouts to beat Munster 3-2, and struck out 10 in five innings of a 10-0 shutout of Griffith.
