LANSING, Ill. (April 1, 2024) – As explained last month, the ongoing feature known as the Lansing Journal Journeys has officially expanded to include:
- People holding photocopies of The Lansing Journal’s logo in a variety of locations
- People indulging in Journal Java Chip ice cream from Gayety’s
- People enjoying a Lansing Journal Latte (hot or iced) at Kdulche Café
- People wearing their Published Photographer shirts to celebrate their special status that comes from being published in The Lansing Journal
Continuing the journeys
And now the journeys continue. Steve Mares — himself a Published Photographer in The Lansing Journal — recently purchased one of the weather photos on exhibition at the Lansing Public Library. The photo he purchased is not one that he took. It’s a photo by Amy Todd, who captured a vivid bright sky over Fox Pointe one night.
Steve appreciates the photo and purchased it. Then he and his Published Photographer grandkids — Buddy and Lisi Klein — journeyed to the library to have their photo taken with the photo. They are a family of Published Photographers showing appreciation for local photography by purchasing and posing with a fellow artist’s work.
Enjoying the journeys
We love to see our community represented in the Journal — and we love to see the Journal represented in our community. If you purchased one of the weather photos on the library gallery wall, go ahead and take a picture of yourself with the photo — or with the photographer! Send it to us for publication using the info below:
Email your photos to [email protected] and share:
- Names of any people or animals in the photo
- Name of the person who took the photo
- Description or location of the photo
