Spice Club

“Spice up your cooking! Register each month to receive a sample of a new spice along with the spice’s history and delicious recipes. Materials can be picked up at the Info Desk starting the first Monday of the month and through the end of the month. Please register for each month separately.”

Pop-up pantry

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Location: Mt. Zion UFL Center, 2340 177th Street, Lansing (708-394-3555)

Mt. Zion UFL Center partners with Illinois Partners In Hope to distribute a variety of donated food once or twice a week. These pop-up pantries are open to anyone, and no ID is required.

Free ‘n Fun Bingo at Kasey’s

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Kasey’s Banquet Hall and Lounge, 17800 Lorenz Avenue, Lansing

Bingo happens every Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

Cook’s Circle

Free blood pressure and glucose checks

The Lansing Fire Department will offer these monthly health checks on the second Friday of each month in 2024. No appointments needed. For more information, call 708-895-7400.

Little Giant – 8th anniversary on the 8th

Time: 7:30 – 11:30 p.m.

Taco and Trivia Night

Location: American Legion Post 697, 18255 Grant Street, Lansing

“St Baldricks fundraiser to help fight children’s cancer. There with be head shavings, music, raffles and a 50/50 raffle. So sign up to be a shavee or just come out and watch and donate.”

Queen Esther Day 2024 service

Time: 3:30 p.m.

Location: Flesh Becoming Word Church, 18423 Stony Island Avenue, Lansing

This event is by Queen Esther Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star, State of IL. “Join us for a powerful service!”

Young Adult Hymn Sing

Time: 5 p.m.

Location: Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Avenue, Lansing

“Join us for a young adult hymn sing on March 10 after the evening service! Any young adults post-high school through mid-30’s are welcome to join us! Song Service begins at 4:50. Evening service begins at 5:00. Dinner and singing will be after the service.
Dinner and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side or dessert to share!”
