Donald Joseph Giovannetti, age 66, of Castle Rock, Colorado, died December 9th after a long battle with cancer. Originally from Sauk Village, IL., Donald was the beloved son of Kenneth and the late Barbara Giovannetti of Lynwood, IL. Dearest brother to Janice Giovannetti (Paul Morey), Kenneth Giovannetti (Edith), Richard Giovannetti (Cathy), the late Robert Giovannetti, and Celeste Giovannetti (Russell Massery). Fond Uncle to Joshua Giovannetti (Lisa), Michael Tuley (Kristi), and Bryan Giovannetti. Great-Uncle to Lena Giovannetti, Jianna Giovanetti, Anayah Giovannetti, and Anthony Tuley, and Great-Great Uncle to Luca Giovannetti.
Donald worked in Project Controls at Jacobs Solutions, but on his off time, he loved traveling, photography, golfing, and time spent with family and friends. In his younger years he enjoyed hiking, mountain climbing, and running marathons. He lived life to the fullest for as long as he could.
A memorial visitation in his honor to take place Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 3:00-7:00PM at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
