Obituary Ena Dykstra

Ena (nee Visser) Dykstra, age 83, of Lynwood, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, with her loving family at her side.

Ena is the loving wife of 62 years to Kenneth Dykstra; beloved mother to David (Sue) Dykstra, Susan (Jeremy) Woodle, Sheryl Dykstra, and the late Robert Dykstra; proud grandmother to Joshua Dykstra, Carla (Steve) Ruisard, Nathan Dykstra, Hannah Dykstra and Katelyn Dykstra; great-grandmother to Xavier English, Isabel Ruisard, and Riff Ruisard; cherished sister to John (Marlene) Visser, the late Peter Visser and the late Etta Carpenter; fond daughter to the late Edward and Lena Visser.

Ena was a loving and devoted caregiver for her family. She was a faithful member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church of Lansing, IL. She was a talented crafter, sewer, quilter and enjoyed embroidering. She used this talent, along with her faith, to start — as her loving family would name it — her “Angel Ministry.” She would embroider angels and give them away to strangers who were hurting and pray with them. She will be deeply missed by those who were privileged enough to know and love her.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10:00 am until the the time of her Funeral at 2:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. Memorials may be given toward Mid-America Reformed Seminary.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.KuiperFH.com for the Dykstra family.
