Library Board Agenda: Filling vacancies, discarding equipment, updating policies, and more

LANSING, Ill. (February 13, 2023) – The February 15* meeting of the Lansing Public Library Board of Trustees begins at 6:30 p.m. in the quiet study area of the library.

*Note: This date was published incorrectly in a previous version of this post. February 15 is the correct date of the Library Board meeting.

  6. Motion to approve January 2024 and February 2024 expenditures for payroll, invoices, debit/credit card, and the Treasurer’s report
  7. Director and Department Head Reports: Information Services Denise Benson
  8. Old Business
    1. Motion to approve option 2 for Studio GC’s proposal for the HVAC project (system and VAV boxes)
  9. New Business
    1. Motion to fill the vacant Secretary’s office
    2. Brett Moeller from O’Neill & Gaspardo for the FY 22/23 report
    3. Select candidates to interview for the open board seat
    4. Set a date for interviews for the open board seat
    5. Motion to discard 1 12-year-old laptop HP Probook 6560b $50.00, Youth Services AWE machine, and table 10 yrs. old $200.00
    6. Motion to accept the update to the Attendance & Punctuality policy in the Lansing Public Library Personnel Policy
    7. Motion to accept a quote for the new server from either Heritage Technology Solutions for $9,536.12, or Current Technologies for $14,740.13 or Secure Compliance Solutions for $17,592.50
  10. Motion to Adjourn

The next scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees is Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.

  1. I presume it is a simple typographical error, but the dateline for this event is listed as November 16, not February 16. All other dates appear correct. Thanks!

    • Ah, thank you Sandra! I used a previous agenda as a template and forgot to update some of the date references. I’ve corrected it now.
