LANSING, Ill. (January 16, 2023) – The November 16 meeting of the Lansing Public Library Board of Trustees begins at 6:30 p.m. in the quiet study area of the library.

  5. Motion to approve the minutes from the Regular Board Meeting on November 16, 2023
  6. Motion to approve the minutes from the Special Board Meeting on January 13, 2024
  7. Motion to approve December 2023 and January 2024 expenditures for payroll, invoices, debit/credit card, and the Treasurer’s report
  8. Director and Department Head Reports: IT and Tech Services Kelli Staley
  9. Old Business
    1. Motion to approve the 2023 Information Services Policy
    2. HR Source Salary Benchmarking recommendations discussion
  10. New Business
    1. Discussion of the HVAC project: Dan Ellonardo & Darren Schretter
    2. Motion to approve the 2024 IRS mileage rate of .67 cents per mile
    3. Motion to approve Information Services Manager Denise Benson and Community Engagement Coordinator Andrew Harootunian attend the PLA Conference in Columbus, Ohio, from 4/2/2024–4/5/2026, not to exceed $4,200.00
    4. Motion to keep the Lansing Public Library’s Executive Session minutes closed
    5. Motion to approve the 2024 Lansing Public Library’s Mission Statement
    6. Motion to approve the 2024 Lansing Public Library’s Vision Statement
    7. Motion to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement for teacher cards for Academy for Children 2 daycare
    8. Please check your emails for the SEI filings. If you do not file on time there is a fine.
    9. Motion to approve the disposal of the youth services pirate ship for $300.00, three broken gaming chairs at $40.00 each, 1 shelving unit for $1500.00
    10. Motion to approve the purchase of Patron Point for $5,700.00
    11. Discussion on the search for a new trustee
    12. Discussion of strategic planning session
