Obituary Mick Brouwer

Martin “Mick” A. Brouwer, age 87, of Schererville, IN, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 4, 2023. Beloved husband of Eleanor “Ellie” Brouwer nee Ticgelaor. Loving father of Rick (Pam) Brouwer, Pam (Dave) Voss, Amy (Bobby) Nelson, and the late infant Kenneth Wayne Brouwer. Cherished grandfather of David (Ashley) Voss, Jenny (Matt) Kamin, Ryan (Lindsay) Voss, Greg (Amy) Brouwer, Megan (Ray) Jansma, Luke (Shelby) Nelson, and Tyler Nelson; great-grandfather of Joanna, David, Ezra, Mackenzie, Marlie, Matthew, Makenna, Summer, Gabe, Ruthie, Ethan, Landon, Layla, Sienna, Elise, and Scarlett. Dear brother of the late Betty (late Gary) Voogt, late John (Kathy) Brouwer, Rich (late Carol) Brouwer, late Peter Brouwer, late Cathy (John) Ericks, and Nancy (Larry) VanderWoude. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Wilhelmina Brouwer.

Mick was a retired owner of Brouwer Brothers Steamatic. He was a longtime member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lansing, IL, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood Lansing Rd., Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Providence Hospice.
