Lansing Fire Department to test for new hires Jan. 27

Applications due by Jan. 10

Lansing, Ill. (January 4, 2024) – The Village of Lansing Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is seeking new Lansing firefighters/paramedics.

The next fire test is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. Applications are due by Jan. 10, 2024. The full job posting and application are available online at Jobsource.copsandfiretesting.com.

There are three ways to qualify to take the test to become a Lansing firefighter:

  1. Applicants can already be licensed paramedics
  2. Applicants can be entry-level firefighters/paramedics with valid Candidate Physical Ability Tests (CPAT) within the past year or Cops and Fire Physical Agility Tests
  3. Candidates can have full-time experience

There is no residency requirement for Lansing firefighter/paramedics.
