MUNSTER, Ind. (December 14, 2023) – South Shore Arts has announced registration is open for winter class sessions, starting in January and running through March 2024. Classes take place at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana.
Limited classes are offered at South Shore Arts satellite location, Substation No. 9, 435 Fayette Street, Hammond, Indiana.
South Shore Arts provide meaningful experiences for beginner students to advanced artists of all ages in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and more. Gift certificates make a great holiday gift and can be purchased in the office at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts.
New class offerings this winter include:
- Wheel throw Soup Bowls
- Sample ceramics techniques in CeraMix daytime class.
- Make a mark with Ball Point Pen Drawing
- Learn to Basket Weave
- Create Cute Crochet Characters
- Develop Storyboards with Comic Book MADness
- Cuddle up with Ceramic Winter Cats

Holiday workshop
Get into the festive spirit this season with South Shore Arts Holiday Workshops. During this workshop, create paint-pour ornaments and explore printmaking to make holiday cards. Attendees can come anytime between 1-7pm, on December 15 to participate.
