LANSING, Ill. (November 8, 2023) – In recent weeks, both Memorial Jr. High School and Lansing Christian School teamed up with the Lansing McDonald’s to raise money for their respective schools on McTeacher’s Nights.
Memorial participated in the event on October 24, while Lansing Christian took their turn on November 2. Oak Glen Elementary previously participated in a McTeacher’s Night in September.
The event was run the same for each participating school: during a multi-hour period, all McDonald’s Apple Pie sales go directly to the school, while 20% of food sales from families go to the school.
“We are committed to being an active member of the communities we service through support of our first responders, and in particular, our local schools,” said Jose Gutierrez, owner of the Lansing McDonald’s.
Memorial raised $1,160, while Lansing Christian raised $1,600.
Photos from both of the events are included below, first from the Memorial event and then from Lansing Christian. All photos were provided by the Lansing McDonald’s.
