Obituary David Capistran

David L. Capistran, age 79 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023. He is survived by his two daughters: Christine (Kenny) Pazdur and Jennifer (Alan) Martisek; five grandchildren: Maxwell, Taylor, Kyle, Abigail, and Isabelle; and three siblings: Ray Cooper, Chris Cooper, and Georgia McBroom. David was preceded in death by his father: Warren Capistran; stepfather and mother: Chester and Phyllis Cooper; and brother: Ted Cooper.

Friends are invited to visit with David’s family on Sunday, October 15, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Military honors will follow the service. David will be laid to rest in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.

David honorably served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Hunter Engineering Co. for 35 years as a Field Representative. He was a past President of the Lansing Copper Muggers. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting and fishing, and being with his friends at the former Moeller Bowling Lanes in Lansing, IL.
