“A true community is about feeling connected,” said Valerie McDaniels, chair of the Lansing Human Relations Commission. “Music is a great way to bring people together.”

“We hope this event provides a way for diverse groups to share their spiritual and inspirational messages with each other and attendees at a beautiful venue and within a supportive and compassionate environment,” she continued. “We are Lansing, so let’s set the example for the world how love and peace works!”

Featured performances will include “Classic,” contemporary Christian and classic rock band from Trinity Lutheran Church; “The Word Fellowship Worshippers,” from The Word Fellowship Church in Harvey; “P. Diddy and the Trustees,” gospel and bluegrass from the First United Methodist Church; “Our Lady of Knock Contemporary Guitar Group,” from Jesus, Shepherd of Souls Parish; Praise Dancers from New Beginnings Worship Center and For Your Joy Multimedia Productions; choirs and solo performers from various local schools; poetry by the Lansing Food Pantry Committee, “The Appetizers;” and “The Milo Show.”
