GreenPal app comes to Lansing, providing ‘Uber for lawn care’ services

LANSING, Ill. (August 8, 2023) – GreenPal, an app that connects homeowners with local, vetted lawn care professionals, is launching this week in Lansing.

Nashville-based GreenPal allows homeowners to find local, pre-screened lawn professionals. Homeowners can list their lawns with their service date and lawn care needs. Vetted lawn care pros can then bid on their properties based on Google street and aerial images and any other lawn details the homeowner provides. Homeowners can then select who they want to work with based on the vendor’s ratings, reviews, and price.

Once a vendor has completed the service, the lawn care pro will send a time-stamped photo of the completed work. Homeowners can then pay via the app and set up more appointments.

GreenPal has first-time users fill out a questionnaire about how often they want their grass cut, what kind of outdoor pets they have, the size of their gate, etc.

“After successfully launching in 250 other markets, we are excited to help homeowners in Lansing find reliable, safe, and local lawn care,” said GreenPal co-founder Gene Caballero.

According to Caballero, “Over 30% of GreenPal customers are over the age of 60. This demographic is particularly vulnerable to health risks and greatly benefits from the added safety and convenience provided by our platform.”

Over 1 million users have booked lawn services on the app, and over 45,000 lawn care businesses have used GreenPal to meet customers’ needs.

Nashville-based GreenPal currently operates in 48 states and in 250 major markets. To learn more about GreenPal, visit yourgreenpal.com. To sign up for the service, click here.
