And a tour of The Lansing Journal’s new Keepsakes shop

LANSING, Ill. (July 7, 2023) – If The Lansing Journal were still doing a print edition every month, it would be much easier for people to have keepsakes of articles we published about them. But the pandemic transformed us into a primarily online news source, so fewer of our stories appear in print.

There are so many occasions when it’s nice to have a printed, framed copy of an article. Business owners especially understand the marketing power of displaying the media coverage they’ve received.

That’s why The Lansing Journal entered into a working relationship with NewsKeepsake.com. We now have a way to let people order a high-quality, printed, framed display copy of any article they want.

We went through the process ourselves and ordered actual samples of actual articles. Take a look —

You can choose “Weather” from the dropdown menu to order a keepsake of your favorite Lansing weather photo.

Expanding the store

Soon after we shot this video, even before we could publish it, we received news about a couple of updates to the store. Journal Journeys and Weather photos have now been added to the dropdown menu, making it easy for you to order a display copy of a photo you submitted yourself, or a beautiful scene submitted by someone else.

If you have other ideas about products you’d like to see, or enhancements to the user experience, please let us know: [email protected]. We want to keep improving and expanding the services we offer.

Take a look around, and have fun shopping!
