Wednesday: Hazy sunshine and an Air Quality Alert

LANSING, Ill. (June 20, 2023) — The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has declared an air pollution action day for Wednesday. Widespread ozone and/or particulate levels are expected to be at unhealthy levels for sensitive groups, including active children and adults, and people with pulmonary or respiratory disease.

The forecast calls for hazy sunshine and a high of 86 degrees that will feel like 91.
