LPD seeks public help in search for missing 11-year-old

UPDATE: At 4:41 p.m. LPD sent a CodeRed message saying, “The Lansing Police Department is happy to report that Josiah Wilson, the missing 11yr old boy has been located. Thank you.”

LANSING, Ill. (February 19, 2023) – The Lansing Police Department sent out a request for public help in the search for a missing 11-year-old Black male on Sunday afternoon. The full text of the request, which was sent out a few minutes before 4:30 on Sunday afternoon, is included below:

The Lansing Police Department is asking for your help in locating a missing 11-year-old boy. Josiah Wilson is a 11-year-old male black who is 5 foot tall and weights about 90lbs. He was last seen wearing a green and white puffy coat, gray joggers, and navy Jordan shoes. He was last seen in the area of the 3000 block of Bernice Ave, he may be with friends. If you see anyone matching the description please call 911. Thank you
