HAMMOND, Ind. (December 5, 2021) – The holidays are here and a tradition will be rekindled with the annual Bishop Noll Institute Christmas concert, which features the concert band and choir conducted by Rocco Carioto.
The concert will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, December 12 in the school’s auditorium, located at 1519 Hoffman Street in Hammond, Door C. The concert will include a visit from Santa.
Family members of performers will be permitted to attend in the auditorium and the concert will be streamed on the “BNI Fine Arts” Facebook page at 6 p.m.
The concert band will feature many holiday favorites including “A Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson, selections from a “A Nightmare Before Christmas” and a special concert band/rock band version of “Carol of the Bells.” Everyone will climb aboard as the band performs “The Theme from The Polar Express.” The BNI Jazz Band will bring the Peanuts characters to life with selections from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and the school’s Mariachi Band will perform traditional Christmas selections.
The BNI choir will perform George Michael’s “Last Christmas,” a special a cappella version of “Silent Night,” as well as singing many favorites such as “White Christmas.” Guests will see it snow live during the concert.
All attendees must wear a mask during the concert and keep at least one seat open between families.
