MUNSTER, Ill. (August 4, 2021) – A Friday the Thirteenth themed dinner event on Friday, August 13 in the Board Room of the Center for Visual and Performing Arts will invite guests to peer into the future.
The event includes fortune tellers and private psychic readings from 5 – 8 p.m. in the lower atrium paired with a whimsical themed dinner for the evening featuring the recipes of late actress Betsy Palmer, who originally hailed from East Chicago and was the star of the 1980 original “Friday the 13th” movie, which launched the popular scary film franchise.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is served at 6 p.m. The evening will also feature prize giveaways, fortune cookies for all, and themed TV clips throughout the night paired with each dinner course served.
The menu features:
- Phyllis Diller’s chili
- Betsy Palmer’s chicken L’orange with rice almondine and Phyllis Diller’s “beautiful” broccoli blend
- Blondie’s pink champagne cake
Psychic Paige, who has a more than 35-year history at her tearoom at 3729 Ridge Road in Highland, is renowned for her ability as a soothsayer.
Following dinner, Father Michael L. Maginot of Saint Stephen, Martyr in Merrillville, who is a trusted exorcist for the Catholic Church, will participate in a question and answer presentation with guests explaining his many experiences face-to-face with the forces of evil and the unknown.
