Calvin Christian School streams Global Leadership Summit for fourth straight year

By Quinton R. Arthur

Calvin Christian School will be a location of the Global Leadership Summit starting Thursday, August 5. The school will be celebrating its fourth year serving as a satellite campus for the international event.

Leadership summit

The Global Leadership Summit is an annual conference founded by Craig Groeschel, Founder and Senior Pastor of Life Church. The faith-based summit focuses on empowering others to use their influence and leadership to make a positive change in the world.

The conference invites many notable speakers from different industries to give insight and inspiration for others’ leadership journey. Some of the speakers for this year’s conference include Malcolm Gladwell, author and host of Revisionist History podcast; Jerry Lorenzo, founder and designer for Fear of God clothing; Richard Montañez, former VP of Multicultural Sales at PepsiCo North America, and General Stanley McChrystal, a retired 4-star general in the U.S. Army.

Currently, the conference is streamed in 135 different countries. Calvin Christian School will serve as one location streaming the two-day event. The school will offer viewers three ways to watch the event. Individuals can watch live at the school, host a watch party with family and friends, or watch from the comfort of their home. Lunch and light snacks will be provided for those who watch the conference at the school.

Principal Moes views the school as an environment where families feel welcome and students are nurtured and challenged to be their best selves. Calvin Christian School’s participation in the summit allows staff and parents to grow and affords volunteer opportunities for older students. This contributes to life-long learning.

“Calvin is deeply interested in being a school where everyone gets the opportunity to grow. The Leadership summit is our opportunity to see greater human flourishing through opportunities to grow and be developed,” said Moes.

Calvin Christian school is offering tickets at a discounted rate of $20 by entering the referral code S21CCS. To find out more about the summit and Calvin Christian School’s involvement, visit calvinschool.org and click on “Community & Alumni.”
