Munster, IN (January 24, 2021) – Art in Focus is for adult learners of all ages who are interested in the arts and their impact on the world. South Shore Arts is excited to present a new season of Art in Focus with a new format. This year, each session will take place virtually, with live interaction between the presenter and audience. Each session will be hosted by South Shore Arts Deputy Director, Micah Bornstein. Thursday evening sessions at 7:00 PM will be live events with the opportunity to engage directly with the presenting artist. Monday morning sessions at 10:00 AM will be rebroadcasts with post-presentation conversation hosted by Micah. Links to participate are posted on the website.
This season will cover a wide variety of current topics including mental health and the spirituality of music, the role of the arts in community during difficult times, the connection between art and nature, and other conversations with a variety of artists
working in different mediums. The new virtual format allows artists from a wide geographic range to present directly to the audience in the comfort of their own homes, bringing access to artistic experiences that might otherwise be out of reach. Presentations and discussions promise to be thought-provoking and relevant to current world events.
