Lansing police blotter: June 10–23, 2024

LANSING, Ill. (June 30, 2024) – The Lansing Police Department releases a crime blotter occasionally, published on the Village of Lansing website:

Incidents

The information below is from the June 10–23 blotter. All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

June 10, 2024 – Nothing significant to report.

June 11, 2024 – Hit and Run: LPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of 176th Pl. and Torrence Ave. for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers located the victim with extensive injuries. LPD along with the assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART) are continuing to look into the investigation for the offending vehicle.

June 12, 2024 – Nothing significant to report.

June 13, 2024 – Criminal Trespass to Property: Male from Chicago Heights, IL, was arrested for criminal trespass to property after attempting to break into a vacant property.

June 14, 2024 – Possession of Controlled Substance / UUW: Male from Lansing, IL, was arrested for PCS (possession with intent to manufacture / deliver) and UUW after a search warrant was executed at his motel room.

June 15, 2024 –

  • Domestic Battery: Male from Lansing, IL, was arrested for domestic battery after striking his wife during a verbal argument.
  • Domestic Battery: Male from Lansing, IL, was arrested for domestic battery after punching a family member during an argument.
  • Unlawful Use of a Weapon: Male was arrested for UUW after a weapon was located on his person during a disturbance investigation.

June 16, 2024 – Domestic Battery: Female from Lansing, IL, was arrested for domestic battery after striking her husband during a verbal argument.

June 17, 2024 – Nothing significant to report.

June 18, 2024 – Domestic Battery: Male from Lansing, IL, was arrested for domestic battery after striking family members during a verbal argument.

Battery / Warrant: Suspect from Schererville, IN, was arrested for battery after striking the victim in the 18500 block of Miller St. Suspect also had a warrant out of Indiana.

June 19, 2024 – Nothing significant to report.

June 20, 2024 – Violation of Order of Protection: Male from Lansing, IL, arrested for violation of order of protection after returning to his mother’s residence with an order of protection in place.

June 21, 2024 – Aggravated UUW: Suspect from Chicago, IL, was arrested for aggravated UUW after being found with a loaded handgun on his person (No Concealed Carry Permit) during an unwanted subject investigation.

June 22, 2024 – Disorderly Conduct: Female from Chicago, IL, was arrested for disorderly conduct – reporting a false 911 (Felony) after calling LPD and stating a subject had a gun during a verbal argument.

June 23, 2024 – Nothing significant to report.
