Obituary Darryl Von Behren

Darryl W. Von Behren of Lansing, IL, a cherished and loving husband, father, Grampy, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Darryl was a life-long resident of Lansing IL where he was raised, attended St. John’s Lutheran School, and graduated from T.F. South High School. In 1971, he married his loving wife, Margaret (Margie) Uram. Darryl was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lansing. He was a fan of NASCAR, attending many races throughout the years.

Darryl retired as an electrician from the Ford Motor Company. His favorite place to visit was Homer, Alaska, where he enjoyed salmon fishing. Darryl is survived by his wife, Margie, his daughter, Erica (son-in-law Matthew) Kluck, son Scott, grandchildren Colin and Anna Kluck, cousins Marsha Mazrimas, Marilyn Matthew, Kathy Erickson, and Raymond Beckman. He was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Erna Von Behren.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Darryl on Friday, May 31, 2024. Visitation will take place from 9:30-11:00 AM with the service immediately following at 11:00 AM. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18100 Wentworth Avenue, Lansing, IL, with Pastor John Richy officiating. Darryl will be laid to rest at Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery, Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darryl’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lansing, IL.
