CHICAGO, Ill. (April 2, 2024) – Illinois has many vocational trade schools to choose from. Those planning to work in a trade can study at a variety of accredited trade schools that cover nursing, cosmetology, hair, HVAC, technology, and more.

Illinois Media School

The Illinois Media School has two campuses in Chicago. The Quad City Electrical Training Center is in Moline. It offers multiple courses for those who wish to become electricians. The Quad City Electrical Training Center will help applicants cover the requirements to become a full electrician, including the 8,000 required hours of on-the-job training. QCETC is considered one of the top electrical schools in the state rivaling nearby electrical schools in Chicago.

Midwest Technical Institute

The Midwest Technical Institute offers a variety of different technical programs. This includes healthcare, dental, massage, welding, HVAC, truck driving, and cosmetology. Courses are affordable, with student aid and scholarships available to some applicants.
