Thornton Township Board meeting moved to Monday

SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (March 22, 2024) – Next week’s Thornton Township Board meeting on Tuesday, March 26 has been canceled, and a special meeting has been called for Monday, March 25.

Notice about the change was posted at Thornton Township headquarters in South Holland earlier this week.

A Thornton Township deputy clerk told The Lansing Journal that the reason for the change had to do with approving certain items at least 15 days in advance of the Thornton Township Annual Town Hall meeting, which is scheduled for April 9, 2024.

The deputy clerk said Friday afternoon that the agenda was not yet approved, but would be posted on the township website 48 hours ahead of the meeting’s start time of 6 p.m. on Monday.

The meeting will take place at Thornton Township headquarters, located at 333 E. 162nd Street in South Holland.
