Male Athlete Spotlight for January 21-27
Jaylen Blakes, TF North boys basketball
The junior had 20 points and seven rebounds in a 69-46 win against Richards, contributed 19 points and five rebounds in a 68-57 loss to Evergreen Park, and had 19 points in a 56-34 victory against Payton.
Female Athlete Spotlights for January 21-27
Quincy Onyiaorah, TF South girls wrestling
The junior was the top local placer at the Curie Regional, finishing runner-up at 130 pounds and qualifying for the Evanston Sectional.
